Comments: Grew up on Catalpa Dr off Summitt. Went to School 18 and School 23. Was a great area to grow up in. You could walk to school and stop at Carosellos bakery on your way home or go to Stewarts or Handy Andys or to the Delaware library. Comments: The Delaware Area Neighborhood Association does so much for the area and has been a wonderful model for other area neighborhoods. The meetings are friendly, informative and enjoyable. All neighbors have a say and an opportunity to make action happen. The Board members are very helpful and encourage others to initiate projects of their own interests for the area. Comments: I lived at 36 Summit Avenue from 1947-1969 and then at 10 Summit Avenue from 1978 -1983. Sad to see that School 18 was torn down. Hope we can preserve other buildings.
